WHAT WE SEEK FOR IN CHILDREN'S AGES IN CEFARQ?
At CEFARQ we think much on children’s Goalkeepers. We are convinced that children are like “sponges” that absorb everything we teach them. Therefore, we plan training sessions with exercises to help them to experiment, think and find solutions in the game.
We seek to motivate them and have fun through competitions and team games, always with the ball, and that with their dynamics they learn to be football goalkeepers.
We emphasize much on details of technique and the progressions in the exercises to achieve it. In the training sessions of these ages we do not prefer intensity but quality, take time for making corrections, let the children to make mistakes, detect the error and correct them themselves, and to observe the difference in the resulting action before and after the correction.
In recent years Football has evolved greatly, making the goalkeeper a fundamental participant in the associated game, both for defensive and offensive actions. Then, in CEFARQ we try to integrate our children goalkeepers from their individual role into the team game, simulating passive and active game situations with their own training partners.
From my point of view, the trainer, in addition to their teacher, must be a companion and friend of children Goalkeepers, gain their confidence and generate a strong bond with them. It is important to know how they come from home, school or life with friends to understand their training performance and create an environment of recreation and comfort for them.
We always keep in mind that they are just children playing to be Football Goalkeeper.
