As human beings we try to understand the world we live in and make it more comfortable. When this search is intentional and systematic, the knowledge produced is called Science. Therefore, Science is not outside our daily activities. On the contrary, it is behind all of them. It is relevant to acknowledge that their explanations are not definitive: with further research they can vary and provide new knowledge.

The part of the world that interests us is soccer GK. That is why we seek to understand, more and more deeply, the physical, physiological, mental, and any other phenomena that may help improving GK development, training and performance.

As 1986 world champion Jorge Valdano says in the prologue of the book Soccer Tales, we seek to promote “… a meeting for muscle and thought with the intention that they will lose the mutual distrust they have.”
